Officite Contributes to Ortho Kinetic Review

Oak Brook, IL, August 15, 2003. The Ortho Kinetic Review (the interdisciplinary magazine for the lower extremity specialist) has recently interviewed Glenn Lombardi, President and Principal of Officite, LLC, for the Industry Insider section of their publication. The Insider is a continuing column in the Ortho Kinetic Review that interviews leaders in the related orthopedic and podiatry fields to comment on current industry trends. In the article, Mr. Lombardi was queried on the future of medical practice Web sites, and asked to spell out the marketing advantages of building and maintaining a successful practice site. Lombardi presented several strategies supported by recent Harris polls as to the predicted growth of online users, and the multiple ways consumers utilize the Internet technology. He stated that, "77% of those surveyed said they prefer to learn from a health care professional's Web site, rather than a medical portal site." He further stated, "within the next three to five years, the majority of physicians will have practice Web sites to help market their services, provide information to their patients, and help differentiate themselves from other practitioners in the area." The article further suggests the top ten items to include when creating a successful medical practice Web site.
